Stone Home Creatives is the latest chapter in the retail journey of owner, Sue Griffiths.
The Town of St. Marys is often referred to as the Stonetown, and Sue's upbringing in a fieldstone house has brought her journey full circle, returning to her retail roots in a calmer, relaxed pace at Stone Home Creatives.
While everyone went "left" to shop online during COVID, Sue went "right" to create a more personable shopping experience in this quaint town. With the notion that the world would crave quality time and human connection, the Creativity Centre was reinvisioned to offer a way to reunite family and friends and revisit what time together looks like.
The original store (Village Craft and Candle) opened on Water Street in 2002, and moved to 166 Queen in 2004 and over two doors to 158 Queen in 2015. Our hope is that the revamped space will continue to provide gifts and memories for locals and visitors alike.
