Soy for Beginners
Join the "Soy for Beginners" class or consider hosting your own private workshop. Learn the basics of candle making. Bring your old jars to refill or choose from the selection of new jars we have. We will provide you with all the materials and give you a detailed class on how to pour soy candles. Topics will include:
- how to clean and inspect your jar before refilling (if repurposing a jar)
- how to calculate the "recipe" for your candle
- how to properly wick your candle
- the differences in waxes
- fragrance mixology at the mix-and-mingle scent bar
When class is over you will take your candles home and we will clean up the mess. There will be a 45 minute stretch when your wax is setting where you are welcome to sit and chat, shop in the She Shed or slip downtown for a bit.
Cost $25/person for the lesson and $1.50/oz of wax used fill your jars. Group of 6 or more? Ask about our extra group perks!
